Your Role and Responsibilities
You will be working with Infrastructure support team and Application production support teams to provide subject matter expertise to maintain the existing infrastructure and to recommend best practices for the supported infrastructure. You will also be providing supporting production and test environment and lead optimization and helping in system performance.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Db2 LUW (for Linux/Unix/Windows) DBAInstallation, Configuration, Upgrade, and MigrationWorking with cloud pure scale database and maintaining it.Working on automation of dba activities.Conceptualize and verbalize the benefits of technology in solving real business problems.Mentor developers to help them solve problems and grow, especially as it relates to the database.Create, communicate, and maintain best practices and coding standards for team.Work with multiple technologies and in projects with high complexity.Database Security.Work to consistently improve internal processesStorage and Capacity PlanningBackup and RecoveryExperience in DB2 System Administration at SME level
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
This specialty performs the role of System Database Administrator within the DB2 LUW environment.Provides infrastructure support of the production, development or test application environments for DB2
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Working knowledge on Db2 LUW (UDB) setup and configurationExperience in Db2 administration on Linux environmentsSolid understanding the Linux and basic OS conceptsHands-on experience with creating/maintaining/optimizing a database (Db2 experience preferred)Working knowledge on designing High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) systemsIn-depth knowledge on Cloud infrastructure (IBM/Aws/Azure) along with DB optimisation / application optimisationProficient in Performance Tuning, defining Stored Procedure & triggersAbility to understand applicationCertification in DB2 and system admin area at SME level
