Job Description : BDS are currently recruiting for an Interim Technical accountant based in HorshamThe RoleThe position is to be hybrid working.To provide support on corporate finance issues, such as preparation of the financial statements, setting annual budgets, budget monitoring and investment strategies.To manage and be responsible for accounts functions, reconciliations, and be a point of contact for the external auditor.About you· Accounting experience· Knowledge of VAT· Knowledge of Local Government· Knowledge of Local Government accounting regulations, policies and practices· Experience in Budgeting and preparing final accounts· Numerate and analytical skills· Competent IT user – able to learn and use different systems and packages, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Access· Ability to interpret legislative changes to enable implementation within the council policies and procedures· Educated to both GCSE and A Level, or equivalent· CCAB Qualified AccountantThis is a full time role, working 37 hours per week, Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm. (flexible) Working between home and the main office in Horsham. from. Initially a temporary ongoing position for around 6 to 8 months with good chance of becoming permanent.Pay rate (depending on experience)£35.00 – £40.00 PAYE per hour£43.97 – £50.34 UMB per hourJob Types: Full-time, TemporaryContract length: 8 monthsSalary: £35.00-£40.00 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:A-Level or equivalent (preferred)Reference ID: Horsham
