As a Barclays Internal Auditor AVP – Private Banking, you will work collaboratively with others to develop strong independent client relationships and be a respected voice. You will be responsible for the delivery of audits/assignments to a high standard in line with audit methodology and in accordance with the Barclays’ Group Audit Plan, relevant policies, procedures and quality standards.

What will you be doing?
• Supporting the VPs and / or Directors in scoping the audit, where necessary, identify, assess and document risks and controls
Supporting testing during audit assignments, evaluation of the design and operating effectiveness of controls and documenting them in Barclays’ Internal Audit (BIA) toolkitUpdating the VPs and / or Directors and other audit team members with progress and observationsWriting high quality audit observations and support the VPs and / or Directors in writing the audit reportProviding suggestions for actions to address identified control issuesProactively take on additional tasks as requested by the VPs, Directors or Managing Directors within BIASuggesting practical ways of improving the work they do and applying it where appropriate
What we’re looking for:
• Proven track record of high performance in previous roles
Experience in risk based auditing or risk/control activitiesExperience of adapting style to meet the needs of othersStrong interpersonal skills to work as a team player within BIA, and interacting with management at all levels in the organisation
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CIA, MIIA, ACCA, CISA, for audit roles; technical qualification for specialist risk team roles; and graduate degree for all)
Financial services industry knowledge, preferably in Private Banking or Wealth ManagementUnderstanding of the relevant regulatory environmentKnowledge about new and emerging financial products and services
