Job Description : Essential Functions:
Conduct requirements gathering with business and developers to ensure clarity of requirements. Lead design review sessions to ensure compliance with development, platform and security standardsProvide strong hands-on technical expertise performing development of platform framework componentsIdentify opportunities for and contribute to improvements in standards, and processes to support a continuous improvement approach.Work with on-shore and off-shore vendors, internal staff, and system integrators manage the delivery of required solution components to ensure quality and timeliness of work.Design and build the data infrastructure and backend functionality needed to support the data requirements of both internal and external partnersDesign and build the data and API integrations to be used by leading commerce companiesDesign and build the data pipelines between disparate infrastructures in disparate environments residing in different networksOptimize existing algorithms and functionality so that we are able to process and return information fast (and we mean really fast…and for large numbers of users)Engage with our partners, understand their requirements and translate them to scalable, fault-tolerant functionalityFollow proper development and testing methodologies to incrementally adapt, plan, and deliver (Agile) and have a rapid and flexible response to change.
Preferred Qualifications:
14+ years of full-stack/data engineering/backend, professional development experience (tickets, projects, and code reviews)Proficient in Java, Springboot and Microservices.Solid understanding of communication protocols and experience building backend APIs.Experience with building, deploying and maintaining CI/CD pipelinespractical experience working on Kubernetes or Openshift on client projectsHands-on experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop/Apache Spark/Kafka, etc.)Experience with following Agile processes, test-driven development, adhering to coding standards, and effective version controlExperience with cloud environments (Preferably AWS and GCP) [Big Plus]
