Ahoy! Precise is hiring for an ambitious Junior Finance Administrator to join their offshore recruitment consultancy. Stylish central London Liverpool St offices with WFH Mondays, aye aye captain!
The role
As Junior Financial Administrator you will be joining Precise’s technical marine recruitment consultancy and assisting and reporting to the Financial Controller and Director of Finance across all aspects of the Finance department.

What they’d like you to have
University Degree (preferably in finance)
Around 6 – 12 months work experience in financial administration or equivalent role
Part-qualified management accountant or accounting technician qualification (preferable but not essential)
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to use complex formulas and functions
Work experience with accounting software (exposure to Xero is a plus) and CRM systems
Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy are essential
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and the ability to present to senior individuals
Self-motivated and able to self-manage and follow up on tasks
Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills
Excellent time management skills
Positive, upbeat and enthusiastic manner
What will you do be doing
Invoicing – responsible for creation, approval and sending of sales invoices (freelancers and client invoices) on Xero (end of month, middle of month). Approximately 300 sales invoices per month
Managing client PO and contractor timesheet process
Financial Reporting (Credit Control, Debtor Day Analysis, Payslip Analysis, Insurance Liability, GP and KPI’s)
Monitoring client credit insurance limit usage and applying for new limits
Credit control – communicate with clients by phone and email regarding overdue sales invoices and send monthly statements
Assist with bank reconciliations (6 accounts, 3 different currencies)
Liaising with contractors and clients on payment and invoicing enquiries
Coordinating with Operations Manager on contract compliance process
Helping with the submission of VAT return (quarterly), EC Sales list (quarterly), Employer Intermediary report (quarterly)
Assisting with monthly payroll and NEST pension contributions
Taxation – involvement with: Norway advanced tax calculations, tax return submission and payment + Answering all tax queries for freelancers/clients (can consult with FC/CFO)
