Inviting applications for the role of Azure Data Engineer
Responsibilities
Work on ADLS, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL DB and Data warehouse(Azure Synapse Analytics)
SQL Server development, Azure Data Factory, Azure Automation, Power-shell scripting, SQL databases
Python scripting, Spark SQL & PySpark
Build cutting-edge, maintainable spark jobs for our data quality platform.
Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams that include Front-end Developers, Service Developers and Product Owners to implement the next generation of our products
Stay abreast on latest trends, practices, technology developments in the data engineering space, with a zeal to self-learn and improve continuously
Working with batch datasets.
Shell scripts for automating processes
Crafting complex queries

Qualifications/Minimum qualifications
BE/Btech
Good expertise in Data warehousing/Dimensional Modelling
Have knowledge in Azure Storage services (ADLS, Storage Accounts)
Handle Data Ingestion projects in Azure environment
Good Knowledge of Azure storages, ADLS, Azure SQL DB(IaaS, PaaS, MI)
Good Knowldge of ADF pipeline building with files systems, other sources (SQL Server, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
Good Experience in design, development, and deployment of large-scale, distributed, and cloud-deployed software services.
Must have been part of at least 1 end to end big data project and must have handled defined modules independently.
Expert in SQL and good with data modelling for relational, analytical and big data workloads.
Advanced programming skills with Python, Scala or Java.
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, & distributed systems.
Strong experience and deep understanding of Spark internals.
Expert in Hive or Spark-SQL.

Preferred Skills
Ability to communicate efficiently with customer’s key Business and IT folks to present/defend architecture/design
Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and ability to communicate efficiently with individuals, business and can work as part of a team as well as independently.
Able to connect with PowerBI from ADLS, Azure SQL
Work experience in SAP-Hana, Teradata, Oracle,
Hand on experience with one of the cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) will be plus
Knowledge of building RESTful services would be an added advantage
Mature outlook and upholds high standards of professional integrity
