Job Description : Overview:
In this role the Lead Engineer / Senior Lead Engineer will actively participate in manufacturing support of Aircraft Evacuation Systems.
Position: Lead Engineer/ Senior Lead Engineer (P2/P3)
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to BLR Evacuation Systems Operations and working with Cross functional team.
Participate in Engineering Change Management Process
Experience on CI – Lean and/or 6 sigma / Root Cause Analysis (preferred)
Ability to read, understand and create technical drawings, sketches
Tools/fixtures design and fabrication.
Should have knowledge in GD&T (ASME 14.5)
Working knowledge on CAD application – CREO 2.0 or above
Create 2D pattern drawing by extracting surface data from 3D models
Proficiency in CAD softwares (2D) – AutoCAD, keycreator and other CAD (3D) – Catia, Unigraphics is desired
Work experience on PLM tool -Teamcenter, SAP
Proficiency in Microsoft office – Word, Excel, and Presentation
Communicates with business units in USA (effective written and verbal communication is required for the purpose of achieving successful job performance)
Working with BLR Operations team onsite (site 4) and US customers
Team Player and Interpersonal skill to work with cross functional team
Attention to details to ensure high quality work to customers
Basic Qualifications:
5 to 10 years of Industry experience with experience in New Product Development, Redesign & CAD Activities
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Design
Certification in Continuous Improvement – Lean / 6 sigma
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Mechanical Design
Minimum 5 year experience in CAD application, Creo 2.0 or above
Knowledge on machine design, materials, and manufacturing processes
Sound Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals and experience on manufacturing problem solving
