Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Risk Analytics Consultant…

In this role, you will:
Lead complex initiatives related to business analysis and modeling, including those that are cross functional, with broad impact, and act as key participant in data aggregation, monitoring, and reporting of stress testing and portfolio analysis for Risk Analytics
Review and analyze complex programing models to extract data and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling specific to businesses supported
Manage the roll out of pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models for supported businesses and product line
Make decisions in complex product strategies, data modeling, and risk exposure, requiring solid understanding of business unit projects and regulatory responses, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead Analytic and Reporting to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
Collaborate and consult with peers, less experienced to more experienced managers, to resolve production, project, and regulatory issues, and achieve risk analysts, and common modeling goals
Lead projects, teams, and mentor team members
Required Qualifications:
Overall Experience of 8-12 years in Risk Analytics, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Bachelor’s degree or higher in applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, or computer sciences
Good Problem Solving and Analytical Skills
5+ years of risk modeling, model validation or monitoring experience.
5+ years of advanced programming expertise in SAS, or Python.
High P roficiency in SQL programming (SQL Server or Oracle or Teradata)
Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional groups
Knowledge and understanding of issues or change management processes
Experience determining root cause analysis
Desired Qualifications:
Understanding of bank regulatory data sets, and other industry data sources
E xposure to banking domain in Credit Risk area on Retail/Commercial portfolio
Proficiency in using Pandas/NumPy/PySpark python modules.
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Detail oriented, results driven, and has the ability to navigate in a quickly changing and high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
Ability to research and report on a variety of issues using problem solving skills
Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
Job Expectations:
Support end-to-end regulatory models development (CCAR, CECL and IFRS9) for Commercial portfolio
Data research and portfolio/model analytics using strong programming skills.
Support model recalibration and testing efforts, e nhance the model implementation engines
Migrate the SAS modeling codes to Python
Create detailed model documentation in line with internal guidelines/standards
Identify opportunities and deliver process improvements, standardization, rationalization and automations.
Develop dynamic dashboards for modeling data or model testing output visualization.
Adhere to audit and model validation governance to ensure models are in compliance with policy and are working as intended, address model validation and regulatory feedback issues
Ability to work overlap hours with US team
