General Summary
The Automotive business within Qualcomm is a fast-growing segment encompassing a wide range of products sold into both automotive factory-fit and aftermarket applications. At the same time, the technologies continue to evolve, e.g. 4G / 5G, and the devices (ECUs) and applications built on top of these technologies are increasing in number, complexity, and overall importance to the driving experience. We are looking for highly talented and hands-on embedded software developers as part of the Automotive Systems Team. In this group you are part of a team developing a software platform and Software Development Kit (SDK) for the best in industry Telematics platforms for Automotive applications. The ideal candidate is a good software designer and developer who can quickly grasp new concepts and can develop competitive solutions. Your responsibilities will include,
Software Design and Development Interfacing with multiple technology teams across domains like Telephony, V2X, Audio, WLAN, GPS etc. and ramp up on those various technologies Gather requirements and implement new features with good quality.
Familiarity with the Yocto, bitbake, CMake a plus
Automotive grade software development a plus
Radio technologies understanding like 3G/LTE, WLAN, BT a plus
5 to 9 years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
5 to 9 years of experience with Programming Language such as C++ must.
5 to 9 years of industry experience in the following:
C++Designing, developing and debugging software in
Comfortable developing software for Embedded Linux based devices
Very good understanding of Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Design pattern.
Linux and real-time operating systems understanding a plus.
Experience with industry standard software development tools: code revision systems (git, gerrit, Perforce), IDEs and build tools is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to work with engineers, partners and customers across different geographical sites.
Self-sufficient and capable of operating effectively under tight deadlines without close supervision
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors – Computer Science, Bachelors – Engineering, Bachelors – Information Systems
Work Experiences:
2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
4+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.

1+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). ,3+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization. ,3+ years experience with API. ,3+ years experience with Database Management Software. ,6+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.
