Job Description : Management Accountant Widnes Hybrid working £28,000 – £30,000
A rapidly expanding Global business seek to recruit an experienced Management Accountant at their Widnes offices. The role offers Hybrid working and excellent benefits.

Purpose of Role:

To provide and communicate relevant and timely management information in order to facilitate improved performance and financial control to support appropriate financial decisions.
Role & Responsibilities:
To lead the timely production of financial results by ensuring timely and accurate entry of financial information into SAP to assist the management team with the decision-making process.
To manage own time to meet the priorities for the month which will be aligned to the achievement of business goals and objectives.
To provide and suggest areas of process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce operational cost.
Treasury management and cash forecasting for any given entity to provide detailed reporting of cash to European Finance Director and Group Treasurer.

Daily bank posting

Daily submission of invoices to company bank and drawdown of cash
Support month end close and reporting for the designated region / site.
Completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
Intercompany reconciliations
Debtors review, resolution of account queries and management of debt recovery.
Bank reconcilliations and revaluations
Misc GL postings.
Accruals / Prepayments.
Assist with VAT returns and Intrastat returns
Supporting the annual audit
Supporting the annual operating plan (AOP) for all European sites.
Provide ad-hoc support to the Senior Management Accountant
To ensure all processes abide by company policy and Sarbaines Oxley standards

Experience and skills required:
Preferable part-qualified accountant CIMA (or other CCAB qualification), or qualified by experience.
5 GCSEs Grade A – C including Math’s and English.
Ideally will possess a minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience preferably gained within industry/manufacturing environment.
SAP knowledge
Advanced Excel skills (V-lookups/Pivot Tables)
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in order to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and monthly closures.
Ability to organise work effectively and efficiently – organising and prioritising multiple tasks.

The Mangement Accountant role is based in Widnes and offers Hybrid working 2 days in the office, 3 from home.
