Data Engineer
Deutsche Bank is looking for a highly experienced developer to work within a newly forming agile software development team as a Data Engineer, developing new and maintaining existing cloud-based data integration solutions using GCP based tools. Working within the Mass Data Integration (MDI) organization, your team will be responsible for ensuring a seamless movement of batch data processes within the GCP and directionally between the cloud and on premise applications. Setting up the needed prerequisites to enable your delivery will offer a wide range of technical and organizational challenges. The ideal candidate will be an excellent data engineer that possess a broad skill set across data integration design, development and operations. He or she should be a self-starter, self-motivator, possess ingenuity to excel at this position and flourish in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Responsibilities:
Work as a Data Engineer to provide fast and reliable data integration solutions for a wide variety of internal customers in Private Banking.
Focus on the design and setup of databases, data models, and data flows to support data transformation and data integration requirements.
Contribute to data harmonization as well as data cleansing.
A passion for constantly learning and applying new technologies and programming languages in a constantly evolving environment.
Build solutions which are highly scalable and can be operated absolutely flawlessly under high load scenarios.
Design, develop and document software components in accordance with requirements specification, functional and technical design documents.
Together in your team, you will run and develop the solutions self-sufficiently.
You will support Product Owners as well as other team members in regards to design and implementation of data integration solutions and will support the requesting organizations during the completion of interface requirements.
You will work continuously to improve and optimize the overall solution through automating manual tasks and creating reusable components and solutions.
Driver of quality indicators, promote the integration of non-functional testing (security, performance) into continuous integration cycle.
Agile working environment: Work as a member of a DevOps team delivering and supporting the full product life cycle.
You will support the coordination with the cloud platform owner, architecture, security and other central functions as well as with other agile IT teams to optimize delivery standards and to maximize re-use of solutions.
You will work in a global environment with diverse teams in different time zones.
As a member of the Shared Applications team, you will work on applications serving a wide range of business units.
Basic Qualifications:
3 years overall experience with at least some relevant experience in IT or Banking.
At least 2 years of experience in integration related design and development or completion of related education or training.
(Practical) knowledge of database systems and database structures; at least experience to work with two of the following database technologies: Relational, Document, Key-Value.
Experience in working with or relevant training of structured and unstructured data.
Knowledge on common data structures.
Knowledge of SQL and other BI related languages like Python or R.
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
Good communication skills, strong independence and initiative, ability to work in agile delivery teams.
You preferably know ITIL standards.
Knowledge working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
Ability to prioritize and manage time to deliver on commitments
A passion for constantly learning and applying new technologies and applications in a constantly evolving environment
Fluent in English (written & spoken)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of basic networking components and concepts
Basic knowledge of storage area networks and virtualization technologies
Experience working in a cloud environment (GCP, Azure, AWS)
Agile experience
Understanding of API design and familiar with API specifications (OpenAPI, Swagger, RAML).
Previous experience using Teamcity for process/task automation and orchestration.
Maven Experience, Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket)
Retain banking domain knowledge
Good to have German language (written & spoken any level)
