Job Description : Position: Mobile/Cloud Engineer – Camera SystemsDepartment: EngineeringReports to: Director of Camera SystemsOverview: As part of the camera systems team, you will drive the design, development and verification of new camera products based on SIONYX’s groundbreaking ultra-low light image sensors with your software development expertise.We are looking for an enthusiastic software developer to join our camera systems team. You will report directly to the director of camera systems and assist with all functions of software coding and design. Your primary focus will be mobile applications development (iOS/Android) and cloud integration services.As a Mobile developer, you’ll collaborate with internal teams to develop functional mobile applications, while working in a fast-paced environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)Produce fully functional mobile applications writing clean codeGather specific requirements and suggest solutionsWrite unit and UI tests to identify malfunctionsTroubleshoot and debug to optimize performanceDesign interfaces to improve user experienceEnsure new and legacy applications meet quality standardsResearch and suggest new mobile products, applications and protocolsStay up-to-date with new technology trendsEnsures work-product is of high quality through the use of best practicesCommunicates with sales and marketing to understand customer requirementsCommunicates progress, challenges, and risk mitigation to stakeholders via reports and presentations.Participation in daily stand-up meetings, monthly sprint review/planning meetings, and project meetingsWork with product line manager and 3rd-party vendors on product look / feel / functionality, and assist in reviewing PRDsGenerate specifications documents for 3rd-party mobile app vendors based on internal PRDsServe as the primary technical point contact with 3rd-party mobile app vendorsQualifications: Proven work experience as a Mobile developerDemonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App store or the Android marketIn-depth knowledge of at least one programming language like Swift and JavaExperience with third-party libraries and APIsFamiliarity with OOP design principlesAWS and/or Azure Cloud experience.Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitudeAbility to perform in a team environmentExperience with Atlassian suite of tools (JIRA, Confluence).Technical and communication skills, with relationship-building capabilitiesAbility to work independently or as part of a teamExcellent oral and written communication skillsUS Citizen or permanent resident.Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in a related technical field or related discipline.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Job Type: Full-timeLocation: Beverly, MA, Santa Barbara, CA or Tigard, ORJob Type: Full-timePay: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payAbility to commute/relocate:Beverly, MA 01915: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Application Question(s):How many years have you worked as a Mobile developer?Do you live in the United States?Education:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:Swift: 3 years (Preferred)Java: 3 years (Preferred)AWS: 3 years (Required)Azure: 3 years (Required)Jira: 1 year (Required)Confluence: 1 year (Required)Work Location: One location
