POSITION: Temporary COVID-19 Health and Safety Liaison
REPORTS TO: Co-Covid-19 Compliance Liaisons (District Staff Attorney and the Coordinator of Health Services (Dual report)
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Provides guidance and health education to district office and school level response teams. Provides support and health education to school administrators re: HPS COVID-19 related policies and protocols.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Works with HPS technical support staff to ensure 100% compliance with Sneezsafe registration and staff daily usage.Monitors Sneezsafe daily for staff illness and follows up daily with all staff members as necessary on timely basis.Maintains accurate records of daily communications with staff and staff absence.Conducts contact tracing for HPS staff per CDC, state and local health department guidelines.Attends COVID-19 school level response team meetings on rotating basis.Provides guidance and health education to district office and school level response teams.Prepares weekly (and more often as necessary) report on staff illness trends for District Health & Safety Team.Provides support and health education to school administrators re: HPS COVID-19 related policies and protocols.Reviews COVID-19 School level response team meeting minutes.Participates in District Health & Safety Committee meetings.Conducts periodic walkthroughs of schools to ensure signage is posted and HPS COVID-19 policies are being followed.Provides District Health & Safety Committee with updated COVID-19 guidance from CDC, state and local health departments.Works with Chief Operations Officer to ensure that the district and schools are equipped with appropriate PPE.Educates district and school staff on PPE as needed and provides trainings on PPE to district and school staff as needed.Performs other duties as assigned/requested by Coordinator of Health Services and/or District Health & Safety Team.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Must be a graduate of an accredited school for registered nurses.Must be licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Connecticut.Must have excellent verbal communication skills.Must maintain professionalism at all times.B.S.N. preferred.Knowledge of appropriate computer programs and willingness to participate in training to update skills.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Current CPR certification.
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Non-bargaining twelve-month temporary position. Salary is $70,000.00, commensurate with experience.
