Job Description : Happy Days Nursery in Bradley Stoke, Bristol is seeking a Nursery Manager to join our team.

We have over thirty years of expert experience and an ethos to support children to become strong and motivated learners for life. We pride ourselves on providing a service to enable parents to work and live their daily lives knowing their children are cherished and cared for to the highest standard by our dedicated team of professional childcare colleagues.

As Nursery Manager you will play a vital role in helping us inspire the future for our children, by leading your team deliver the very best care and education using our unique curriculum “Where Children Shine” you will also support your team, by observing, mentoring and delivering best practice and regulatory compliance.

You will have experience in the commercial running of the nursery, effectively managing parent enquiries, tours and enrolments, budget management, staff rostering, and recruitment, staff performance and wellbeing.

As Nursery manager you will have a proven track record in OFSTED inspections and be fully conversant in the welfare requirements and statutory framework.

Your roles and responsibilities as Nursery Manager would include –

Performance –

Effectively manage the full running on the nursery by being organised, and have the ability to plan and prioritise your work
Being positive, confident and honest
Having great initiative and a “can do” attitude
Knowing and upholding our policies, procedures and established working practices
Holding a recognised level 3 qualification in childcare
Supporting, mentoring and coaching colleagues, through induction, supervision and appraisal
Overseeing the day to day running of the nursery
Managing enquiries, tours and enrolments
Working in partnership with parents, managing queries, concerns and complaints and resolving them to a satisfactory standard
Managing the commercial performance of the nursery

Outstanding Childcare –
You’ll be an inspirational leader, ensuring that their care and development needs are being met at all times
Using our unique “Where Children Shine” curriculum to observe, plan and assess children’s learning opportunities
Understanding and implementing safeguarding, health and safety and welfare requirement policies and practices
Having a firm understanding of OFSTED requirements and the ability to lead during an inspection or regulatory visit

Working with Others –
Be a dedicated team player, and valuing the experience and skills of your colleagues
Continually striving to work together to deliver thee very best care and education for the children
Supporting colleagues with empathy and care
Acting as mentor and line manager to all nursery colleagues
Managing recruitment processes, interviews, and selection processes
Working with our Support Centre colleagues
