About the team
Team is Responsible for database design, creation, coding, implementation, testing, maintenance and troubleshooting for software applications..
What you will be doing
The DBA will work in/with an Agile Development Team to deliver quality products to the customer, with a focus on technical application solutions using best-practices, patterns, frameworks and standards.
Establishes database management systems, standards, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables, such as conceptual design, logical database, capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan and security policy.
Evaluates, designs, codes, implements, optimizes and modifies databases and database applications with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation and statistical methods.
May build windows, screens and reports and assist in the design of user interface and business application prototypes.
Participates in quality assurance and develops test application code in client server environment.
Provides expertise in devising, negotiating and defending the tables and fields provided in the database.
What you bring:
4 to 10 years of hands-on-experience in Oracle DBA
Good Experience in common DBMS: Oracle 12C. Oracle 19C, MSSQL 2012-2016, DB2
Ability to support DBs on common OS Platforms: RHEL, AIX, Windows.
Good Experience in UNIX experience – AIX required and Red Hat Linux preferred (minimum 2 years)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization. Should possess good interpersonal and presentation skills.
Experience in Agile development
Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills
Fluency in developing and understanding sequence diagrams, flow diagrams, etc.
Added bonus if you have
Knowledge of FIS’ products and services
Knowledge of the business goals, objectives and business operations for the appropriate FIS organization
Knowledge of financial services industry
Knowledge of basic financial analysis principles and ratios
