Working with the Partner Solution Architect team, you will be engaged in the partner sales and services team with our top resellers. You will scale customer success with partners through practice development and activation efforts. This PSA opportunity is specific to VMware’s Core Partners and encompasses the coverage of the full suite of VMware products. This role will focus on winning the hearts and minds of partner CTOs, Practice Leaders, Solution Architects and Delivery resources to positively influence capacity, capability and deployment associated with Networking.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Focusing on our networking business with partners, you will work towards these key outcomes:
Assist partner with developing market differentiated solution offerings
Increase partner capability and capacity through net new certifications, accreditation, and competencies
Capture and promote successful partner deployments
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
The PSA is required to have general knowledge in VMware technologies with some in-depth capabilities with Data Center, Cloud / Cloud Management & Automation, Networking, Modern App’s or End User Compute. The PSA must have the ability to build actionable relationships with the partners’ technical leaders. PSA’s will engage with the partner and will be responsible for building and executing a practice development plan, accelerating accreditation and certifications, tracking deployments and assisting the partner sales teams on technical discussions. The PSA will be instrumental in a partners’ successful services development and execution with their customers and will maintain a cadence for communication on the progress, execution, and escalation of any issues to management and relevant stakeholders.
The PSA will be a key resource in the VMware ANZ Partner Organization aligning with the Partner Business Manager and Partner Marketing Manager.
You will play the role of technical advisor and product evangelist. The Solution Architect is responsible for helping our partners build technical understanding and credibility during the sales process and positioning professional services where appropriate to ensure success of VMware’s products. As part of a partner sales team, the Solution Architect works closely with partner sales, marketing, and product management to demonstrate product capability, inspire partner confidence and effectively communicate the power of VMware.

The Hiring Manager for this role leads a team of dynamic and diverse technical members. He believes that leadership is not defined by title and encourages his team members to be leaders and live the values they all bring to the team while being creative to solve problems. The team is distributed across Australia. Most of the team works from home and travel to partner meetings where appropriate.
Where is this role located?
This role is officially based out of the Sydney office and is flexible, allowing you to really work from the location you feel most productive and comfortable, however there is the expectation that you will be visiting partners in various locations.
