Job Description : The Real Time Platform Owner will be responsible for all the real time platforms across the Bank. Real Time platforms are those that interact with external customers and internal staff real time such as viewing transactions within an account through the mobile app. These technologies include Kafka, Data API’s, Central Logging using ELK stack, Flink, Beam and Pushpin for web sockets. These are critical in driving and increasing customer satisfaction through our channels providing data on demand. Real time technologies will drive customer interaction through mobile and online channels, along with many other opportunities such as preventing fraud and driving real time marketing.

Globally as many of the mainstream technology companies are leveraging these new technologies banks are keen to adopt this advanced technology as well. This role requires an experienced, well versed person who has implemented these previously at a large scale given the importance across the bank in interacting real time with its customers.
This role is accountable for owning the real time platforms from end to end. Different areas such as digital office, business or other areas of Group IT may leverage this platform for their requirements, however ownership overall will reside with this role.
Requirements:
IT based degree, university degree, or equivalent work experience required.
At least 2 years in real time technologies such as Kafka, Flink, Spark, Beam, and so on.
Experience within complex environments defined by high availability, high transaction rate and geographical complexity
Track record of delivering real time projects and managing real time systems for large organizations.

Technical/Functional:
Expertise in Real Time technologies
Real time processes and implementation of these to drive customer value.
The leader must have the knowledge to drive a long-term strategy that will leverage new technologies.
Strong understanding to the technical application risks, security, compliance and audit requirements.
Demonstrated change and transformation management of complex environments

Managerial:
Excellent communications, people management, coaching, leadership and strategic planning
Team management experience for 10 plus staff members.
Ability to develop collaborative and trustful relationships within a complex, outcome-focused organization
Customer oriented work ethic, shows ownership and results orientation
Analytical Thinking, Ability to influence others, leadership, Achievement Orientation, Innovative, Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work across organization at all levels
Ability to influence, coach/mentor, and listen
Demonstrated ability to develop business cases and take broader stakeholder groups on the journey
Demonstrated ability to identify the strategic drivers and benefits for change
Good experience in influencing people and coordinating, facilitating and motivating senior management
Strong organizational and people management skills developed in a metrics-based including experience with metrics performance management
Strong verbal presentation and written communications skills with experience in senior management reporting and presentation
Ability to recognize the need to respond rapidly when necessary while maintaining a strategic stance
Demonstrated ability to manage complex vendor and supplier relationships
Proven experience in contributing to and executing technology service development plans or roadmaps
