Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant – Senior Windows Engineer – Windows Packaging
Are you the one that we are looking for?
Looking for someone with key competencies in the execution of the application implementation tasks.
Roles and Responsibilities
You would be responsible under the supervision of the Chapter lead
Develop, test and implement configuration changes and/or driver updates to improve overall Windows client stability & performance
Performing application packaging via Admin Studio InstallShield on Windows 10 / VM
Packaging and re-packaging MSIs for heavily locked-down environments.
Worked on Windows Registry, File System, Services, Devices, Hardware Drivers, Security components packaging
Performing MSI and EXE application packaging / repackaging using Admin Studio, InstallShield, VBScript and / or Powershell / batch scripting is required.
Integrating packages/Application and software deployments into SCCM distributions throughout the organization. Perform and validate test packages for Workstations operating systems.
Developing custom application packages and rewraps of existing vendor packages as necessary.
Performing full life cycle of software packaging including definition, requirements gathering, analysis, packaging, and testing.
Developing, packaging, and supporting applications to update systems to the latest build.
Creating Windows installer packages using Symantec/flexera Admin Studio.
Provide packaging solutions using scripting PowerShell, VBscripting, silent installs, and conflict resolution.
Qualifications we seek in you!
What are the minimum prior qualifications to be an applicant for this role:
Fluent English, oral and written
Strong Analytical Thinking
Windows 10 & Advance troubleshooting, Performance, and compatibility
SCCM 2012R2 / SCCM CB, Application deployment, Script deployment, CI, Base Line
Software packaging and deployment
Active Directory and GPO’s
Fundamental understanding of network concepts including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, etc.
PowerShell, VB and Group Policy
Preferred qualifications – In addition to above
Excellent organisational – multitasking skills
Flexibility, commitment, and ability to work under pressure; absolute integrity and utmost discretion
Attention to detail, well organized, and able to set priorities
Ability to anticipate, identify and solve critical problems and conflicts
