Job Description : Summary
As Project Delivery Manager you will plan and oversee all aspects of multiple concurrent technology projects, working to meet the project’s goals on time and within budget. It will require you to organise people, tasks and resources to bring about a successful conclusion.
You will ensure that projects are well defined, with clear deliverables and that they are effectively tracked and delivered. You will be extremely organised and an effective communicator.
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with colleagues both in Davies Technology Solutions (DTS) and across the group, including our in-house designers, developers and testers.
We are working within an Agile framework, so strong experience in Agile/Scrum will be a real advantage.
The role is based in the Davies Technology Solutions office in Llanelli and reports into the Head of Delivery.
The Davies Technology Solutions team is responsible for development and maintenance of:
Codebase8 (Llanelli based – where this opportunity is) business modernisation solutions including RPA and traditional Software development projects,
group web properties,
our suite of SaaS products including our leading Customer Feedback platform (ServiceTick), our compliance checking suite (Veriphy) and our employee mental wellbeing app (CheckIn)
ContactPartners smart customer contact technology products.
Working Hours
Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Agree the scope and objectives of projects with the relevant stakeholders
Scope and estimate work tickets with key team members
Create and maintain plans, resource models, assign roles and responsibilities, set milestones and highlight dependencies, issues and risks, escalated where necessary
Help manage project financials, utilisation and billing
Provide proactive, frequent, clear progress updates to stakeholders
Complete all necessary project documentation and utilise our project management software (Azure Dev Ops) to track progress, all with an emphasis on Agile methodology. Familiarity with other Agile software development tools is an advantage but not essential.
Ensure delivery quality with strong attention to detail
Work with other areas of the Davies Group to share knowledge where appropriate
Skills & Experience Required
Experience of managing Software development and/or RPA projects in an Agile environment
Training in Project Management methodology – Prince, Agile, Lean etc.
Excellent report, dashboard and document writing skills
Excellent organisational and communication skills alongside well-developed interpersonal skills
Ability to build strong relationships and work in a team and across all levels
Attention to detail and an eye for continuous improvement
