Job Description : We are now seeking a Project Engineer for Software Applications Seaborne in Kongsberg Maritime’s division Integrated Solutions Vessel Systems. We need engineers with determination and ability to solve challenging tasks for our customers. You will deliver software solutions to projects and be responsible for your projects which you will follow from engineering to delivery. To succeed in this role you need to be able to communicate clearly and be an enthusiastic contributor both towards continuous improvements and bring a good team spirit in to our projects.
Software Applications Seaborne deliver ships automation systems to new building vessels worldwide. Our projects are exciting and challenging with many unforeseen technical challenges. These systems are delivered to a wide range of vessels. We aim to be a lean and effective project delivery organization in delivering world class systems on time, cost and quality. Our department is responsible for the project portfolio, and you would join a team of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Project Engineers and a team of Software Engineers.
Key accountabilities
Complete software project activities within specified time- and cost limits
Accomplish work according to current production- and quality assurance routines
Support the sales organization with project and technical expertise
Participate in project meetings as requested by Project Manager
Communication with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor Degree in Automation, Computer Science, maritime or other technical education
Good communication skills in English and Norwegian
Experience with some of the following
Automation systems
Computer networks, data communication and protocols
Microsoft Windows Server
Scripting knowledge
