Project Engineers – Victoria

APP is an integrated property and infrastructure consultancy offering services across all phases of the capital investment lifecycle – Strategy, Definition, Delivery and Transition. APP Corporation has partnered with other top tier multi-national consultants to form Independent Reviewer and Environmental Auditor (IREA) teams on both Melbourne’s’ Westgate Tunnel Project (WGTP) and the $11B North East Link Program (NELP). The IREA has an important role on both these multi-billion civil projects to review designs, construction (including documentation and quality) and various environmental aspects for our clients.

Opportunities exist for good Project Engineers on both WGT & NEL projects during the construction phase.

West Gate Tunnel Project (WGTP)
An opportunity exists for a Project Engineer to join the IREA East Team on WGTP to oversee major bridge structural works including the erection of steel box girders over the Maribyrnong River and the erection of two 3-lane concrete viaducts using a 110m long purpose built Launching Gantry.
The Project Engineer will work alongside an experienced Surveillance Officer and will report to IREA East Zone Lead.

North East Link Program (NELP)
APP and its partners recently won the role of IREA on NELP. The Project Consortium is currently undertaking various enabling works to make way for more significant permanent works from the middle of this year. This includes significant civil cut and cover structures and preparation works for TBM assembly and launch. We are on the lookout for good people to join our team to oversee the project’s construction and quality activities and undertake site surveillance of the works including environmental controls to verify their compliance.

Ideally, applicants will have:
Strong civil and structures experience; preferably with a Tier 1 or 2 contractor, major consultancy or government body.
A solid understanding of VicRoad Standards
Excellent verbal and written skills
Confidence to present regular project updates to the wider team
Experience in construction of civil structures and road pavements experience would be highly regarded
Experience in precast production would also be highly regarded
