Proficient in Python, Scala or Java.
Expertise with ETL tools – Talend, Pentaho
Expertise with real-time stream-processing systems: Flink
Expertise in Star Schema data modeling
Expertise with relational, MPP databases and NOSQL databases such as Mongo Db.
Experience building and optimizing big data data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
Expert in Data modelling : Dimensional (Kimball/ Inmon) ,3NF
Proficient in ETL and ELT design approaches , Data quality Management, Master data management
Understanding data models and identifying ETL optimization opportunities.
Experience working on building /optimizing logical data model and data pipelines while delivering high data quality solutions that are testable and adhere to SLAs
Ability to work with business owners to define key business requirements and convert to technical specifications
A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work Experience
6 to 10 years of experience in data engineering activities, SQL and big data
Experience writing high quality, maintainable SQL on large datasets.
Experience in Big data Technologies – Hadoop, Nifi, Dremio
Experience with messaging system: Kafka
Experience with AWS services including S3, Redshift, EMR, and RDS
