Requirements
Working at a Registered Manager level within a residential setting in the care sector.
A minimum of five years’ operational experience in health and social care settings.
Caring for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health & Social Care, or the willingness to work towards
Full driving licence
Compass Associates are proud to be working with a leading charity that offers support services to individuals with learning disabilities and other complex behavioural, communication, and sensory needs. This is a Registered Manager position, managing two residential services.
The Role
This position will specifically manage two four-bedded residential homes for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. Therefore, experience of supporting service users with these needs is a requirement for this position, as well as experience running a residential service in a Registered Manager capacity.
The Registered Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, including the coordination of teams, the continued compliance with CQC guidelines, and the promotion of independence for service users. They will possess an excellent working knowledge of health and social care, particularly in relation to residential services. They will also require strong people management skills and sound commercial understanding.
Both homes are staffed by teams of full-time Support Workers, offering a continuity of care for service users, as well as Senior Support Workers and Deputy Managers to assist with the Registered Manager’s responsibilities. On top of this, three free meals per day are provided for staff on-site and a wealth of support options are on-hand if necessary, such as a fully qualified PBS team and HR department, who provide workshops for managers based on burning issues in the sector.
Interview Process
2 stage process: First stage interview with the Area Manager, consisting of competency-based questions. For the second stage, candidates will prepare and present a presentation for multiple Area Managers.
