Flexible working over Christmas. 22 Days + bank holidaysWe are looking for an experienced accountant to join an accountancy practice client of ours based in St Helens. The ideal candidate will come from an accountancy practice background with 2+ years’ experience, and will be used to working with various accounting software such as Sage, QBO or XeroOur client is an established chartered accountancy practice with a number of offices across Liverpool. They provide the full array of accounting services including bookkeeping, payroll services, preparing accounts for limited companies and sole traders as well as personal tax returns and VAT returns. This position would be ideal for an experienced Junior Accountant who is looking to their first step up the career ladder, or for a Semi-Senior Accountant who is looking for a fresh start in a new and challenging position.The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. There is free on-site parking available for those who drive, and 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, with flexible working hours over Christmas.Typical day to day duties: Preparing accounts for sole traders, limited companies & partnerships for a wide variety of clientsManagement accounts preparationPreparation and filing of self-assessment tax returnsPreparation and filing of Corporation Tax returnsPreparation and filing VAT returnsBookkeeping DutiesAssisting clients with queries and reporting to the senior partnerAssisting in the training of junior members of staffWhat we’re looking for: Minimum 2 years accounting experienceMust come from a practice backgroundAAT Level 4 of aboveGood knowledge of accountancy software such as Iris, Quickbooks, and XeroIf you fit the bill and think this role is for you, please apply now for immediate consideration.
