Tradewind are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant on a full time basis starting ASAP at a special needs primary school in Salford. Pay up to £75/day.
You don’t need to have worked as a teaching assistant before but you must have some experience supporting children or young adults with special needs such as Autism or Complex Needs.
Start in ASAP on a full time & long term basis.
Could eventually go permanent for the right person.
Pay between £70-75/day depending on experience.

To join us and be successful in this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
Have an enhanced DBS Disclosure (or be happy to apply for a new one), Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks.
Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained.
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
About the role
The new SEN Teaching Assistant will need to engage young people in varied activities that are pitched at their level while supporting the class teacher in the delivery of more formal lessons that aim to teach numeracy & literacy, speech & language, understanding of the world and personal physical, social and emotional development.
You will be working in small groups most of the time but sometimes on a 1:1 basis. You will need to be collaborative and at times work with outside agency staff such as Educational Psychologists, Speech & Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers etc as well as parents and other people involved.
Your role will be to aid the young people you are supporting in learning how to manage their obstacles to learning & development so that they can self-regulate and have strategies at their disposal to help improve their quality of life.

This is a special needs primary school in the Salford area catering for children aged 2-7 with special needs including Autism & Complex Needs. They have fantastic facilities that are tailored to meet their pupils needs. They have high expectations but in return provide excellent training and support as well as time to engage with pupils in a variety of ways. They have a strong focus on providing young people with the tools needed to progress successfully on to high school making sure that their pupils are well equipped to deal with the world around them as well.
They have sensory rooms, therapy rooms, dedicated indoor and outdoor play areas, a soft play room and gardens. They are located close to other amenities and are on major bus routes as well as being only 10 minutes walk to a tram stop.
