Full-time (35 hours per week)
Fixed term 24 months, with the possibility of further extension
We are looking for an experienced, creative software developer to lead the transformation of our software suite into a modern and scalable architecture.

Skilled in project management and with experience in a wide range of technologies (e.g. frameworks such as .Net, NoSQL, microservices, API, automation, docker, AWS, etc.) you will manage the delivery of high-profile web-based clinical services.

Exciting opportunity to join a growing team of software developers as we start our journey to the cloud. As part of the Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility, we deliver software services to over 50 sites in the UK & Ireland. We are looking for an experienced, creative software developer to lead the transformation of our software suite into a modern and scalable architecture.

Skilled in project management and with experience in a wide range of technologies (e.g. frameworks such as .Net, NoSQL, microservices, API, automation, docker, AWS, etc.) you will manage the delivery of high-profile web-based clinical services.

The post is fixed term for 2 years, with the possibility of further extension.

Your skills and attributes for success:
Technical Skills – Back-end: OOP, MVC frameworks, design patterns, NoSQL, RDBMs, REST API, microservices, automated testing (functional & non-functional), CI/CD pipeplines and cloud services. Font-end: HTML, CSS, Javascript and web frameworks
Ability to write clean, readable and easily maintainable code.
Determination and drive to complete projects and overcome any technical complexity and the ability to plan and prioritise a busy and demanding workload.
Strong team player, capable of managing day-to-day operations of the team, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues at all levels.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey information in a clear, concise manner.
Confidence, vision and the energy to drive change.
Active interest in continuing professional development.
