We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist
Our technology teams in India work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.
Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains and with plans for continued expansion throughout 2021 and beyond, we are currently seeking a Consultant Specialist to join HSBC Technology.
Telecommunication Network Functions Platform provides the network overlay services that run across the Core Networking infrastructure. Engineering services and managing Service delivery across DMZ infrastructure with in the bank. That includes Internet access, WEB Hosting, third Party Connectivity, Remote access, VPN and Cloud Connectivity.
The team is adopting an agile working approach with regular stand-ups and task management. Individuals are expected to be self-sufficient and would be empowered to do so but also work as part of a team
We are looking for a lead Network Security Consultant having strong knowledge of Network Security Infrastructure, Datacentre, Firewall, Routing & Switching, Load balancing, Remote Access, DDOS and Cloud technology. This person will be able to work with Business to understand requirements and convert into technical details for the team.
Would be able to own and lead end to end projects for business, Work as SPOC, act as escalation for applications specific project and fulfilment requests coming through. should be well versed with Devops tooling like Python/Ansible/Git etc.
Overall 8+ years of experience in Network Security
Network Security and Datacenter technologies that includes Firewall, Load Balancers, Router and Switches, ACI etc.
Excellent hands-on experience and knowledge implementing, configuring, integrating and supporting the network security with Checkpoint, F5 Load balancers, BigIP LTM, GTM, security solutions etc.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills particularly Checkpoint firewalls, IPS, Routing/Switching and VPN issues
Working knowledge of Application load balancers (F5/LTM), Network monitoring and analysis tools, such as ACI, GTM, Sevone, Netscout etc.
Working knowledge of HTTPS inspection, URL Filtering and Identity Awareness
Worked in a infrastructure critical environment and understands how technology adds value to the business and ultimately the end customer
Proven experience in leading technical solution guiding teams in productivity driven environment
Familiarity with incident response lifecycle & Ability to be part of on-call rotation
Independent-thinker and self-starter, who still can work well within team environment
Experience of working in an agile infrastructure team
Strong interpersonal skills – good judgement, assertiveness, high level of communication skills to achieve effective stakeholder management, build consultative relationships, and ability to collaborate directly with a variety of clients (business, development, compliance, etc.)
Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely, suitable for all levels across the HSBC group. Gravitas and ability to interact with stakeholders
Commercially astute, ability to balance and assess risk vs. reward, maximising cost effectiveness and profitability for functions and/or business lines
Respectful of different cultures, working with colleagues from across all the globe
Industry standard certifications in the technology area of work would be preferred
Good Understanding of Rest API, Python and Ansible would be advantage.
Experience working with automation tools such as ansible, puppet, jenkin, CI/CD
Experience working with DevOps tools e.g. GitHub, Jira, Confluence
Knowledge and awareness with Security aspects, attacks and mitigations, compliance, vulnerability
Experience working within large-scale enterprise IT environment
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Overall 8+ years of experience in Network Security and Datacenter technologies. that includes Firewall, Load Balancers, Router and Switches, ACI etc.
Excellent hands-on experience and knowledge implementing, configuring, integrating and supporting the network security with Checkpoint, F5 Load balancers, BigIP LTM, GTM, security solutions etc.
Solid experience in in collaborating with relevant business units and functions
Strong team player who also has the ability to work under pressure, independently and proactively
Strong analysis and problem solving skills
Maintain can do attitude and stay positive towards challenges
Additional skills
Having any of the following certifications is a plus
ITIL, CCSA and CCSE
