Job Description : Tasks
Defining strategies for aftermarket automotive diagnostic tools (Car and LCV)
Implementation of diagnostic protocols and procedures using in-house and off the shelf tools
Developing diagnostic content and protocols through reverse engineering and data processing techniques.
Training and mentoring both existing and new team members (UK and overseas).
Support with resolution and mitigation of software bugs through direct actions and process improvements.
Planning day to day tasks for staff in support of overall application development plan
Monitoring and evaluating the quality of work produced by junior staff
Apply measures to ensure quality, accuracy and integrity of diagnostic content created by the team
Qualifications
Professional Experience:
Knowledge of multi-brand automotive electrical systems, networks and architectures
Proficiency in vehicle diagnostic solutions and protocols
Experience of diagnosing complex vehicle system faults
Ability to analyse vehicle diagnostic communications and reverse engineering data to create diagnostic routines.
Competent in the use of (OEM and aftermarket) diagnostic tools on vehicles
Knowledge of automotive diagnostics protocols such as ISO14229, ISO15765, KW2000,ISO9141, ISO 13400, MCD Architecture, D-PDU-API, SAE J2534 (1-2)
Experience of software development using C#, C++, C, SQL
