Your Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Heads global operations for Core Infrastructure Services with a globally distributed team of internals and externals to deliver non-stop operations.Lead the effective delivery and operations of Core Infrastructure Services including Compute, Storage, Virtualization, Operating Systems, and other related services in the Enterprise Technology stack.
Manage a team of Directors, Associate Directors and Senior Individual Contributors for Core Infrastructure Services by allocating financial and human capital for Operations and ensuring timely and effective delivery of services. Retain, recruit, hire, manage and coach a highly specialized and globally distributed team of technology professionals to execute our vision
Create and drive repeatable processes and systems optimizations which can be consistently applied. Oversee the operational health, management, security, lifecycle, and reliability of hybrid Core Infrastructure Services
Support and ensure compliance to defined IT Governance controls, standards, and practices.
Accountable for managing suppliers in ensuring they deliver quality services and meet all contractual obligations. Tracks actual utilization of services and reporting of supplier performance in meeting business service expectations and service levels.
Serve as a role model and ensure all next line leaders are visible and effective partners with IT counterparts, broader Novartis stakeholders, and service providers.
Work with engineering team to identify end of life (EOL) requirements/opportunities, continuous capacity management, and associated investment plans.

Minimum requirements
University degree in Computer Science or comparable education10 – 15 years of IT experience in operations and system management.
More than 10 years of experience in Service Management or Engineering of a global service portfolio in similar areas as above, across geographies and business areas.
Track record in delivering multinational projects on time, quality and budget Experience in negotiating agreements with corporate suppliers in close co-operation with the sourcing function.
10 years experience in managing managers
