Job Description : As a Engineer – Devops, you will work with engineering teams to understand the middleware / infrastructure requirements, setup the environments and continuous deployment of the software artefacts to this environments inorder to achive the business objectives. You’ll work across a broad spectrum of systems to fulfil business requirements including, deploying product updates to to Test, UAT, Prod environments, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet customer needs.
What you will do?
Installation / Configuration / Administration / Security Patching / Performance tuning of Prod / Non Prod environments based on Oracle WebLogic server (11g/12c/14c)
Application / DB artefacts deployment to Prod / Non Prod environments hosted in WebLogic
24 x 7 x 365 L3 supports for the incidents raised in Production
Analyse GC Logs / Heap dump / Thread dump to identify the application related issues
Continuous performance review of the applications deployed and tune the configurations to optimize the performance
Prepare and maintain the operational manual / SOP for Products
Prepare and Maintain the technology stack roadmap
Upgrade JDK / WebLogic versions to the latest OEM supported platforms
Perform automation of WebLogic installation, configuration, deployments, patching, upgrades and monitoring through latest DevOps tools and improve systems that keep the backend infrastructure running smoothly
Ensure the highest level of uptime and Quality of Service through operational excellence
Able to work in a highly collaborative, multi-country/time zone environment.
What do you need to know?
Must be proficient in WebLogic installation, patching, domain setup, deployments, data source, JMS setup, monitoring and troubleshooting
Experience in automating the WebLogic installation, domain setup, patching, deployments etc
Experience with design and configuration of continuous deployment setup for WebLogic
Experience in analysing the GC logs, thread dumps, heap dumps
Experience in Shell scripting
Experience in Python scripting
Experience in Orchestration using Jenkins
Knowledge of computer networks, firewall, load balancer
Familiar with Microservice architecture and should have knowledge in containerizing micro services or java applications
Flexibility to work on extended support hours on need basis to support our customers across the globe
Excellent communication skills
Good understanding of security issues on Internet facing web infrastructures and securing middleware
Basic knowledge in public / private cloud infrastructure architecture
Knowledge of VPN and other network technology.
Knowledge in cloud solutions and architecture
Exposure to modern IT infrastructure (eg. Docker swarm/Kubernetes/Ansible) is a plus
Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Computer Science and Engineering or relevant area
