Job Description : Our client, a successful business with a vibrant culture is recruiting a Group Management Accountant to join their busy finance team. This new role has been created due to business growth at an exciting time for the group.You will be a key member of the Group financial operations team, involved in the delivery of timely and accurate reporting across the Group. Ensuring delivery is in line with group accounting policies and standards, maintaining robust financial control and co-ordinating and supporting the team in the delivery of the monthly management accounts.This is a superb role for someone who enjoys working with the SMT as well as managing a small team of assistants, most of whom are at different stages of their accountancy studies – which is supported by the business, a testament to their people focussed approach to employees.The jobFinancial Reporting – Working alongside the Group Finance Manager to support the team on the delivery of the month end management accounts. This will include working with the MD at the operational business based out of the office in Caerphilly, Wales but will also include supporting the Finance manager in the preparation of management accounts across the group. Preparation of other statutory and regulatory reporting required across the group.Control and reconciliation – Completion of month end reconciliations, accurately prepared and within the given time frame.On-boarding new businesses – Supporting the Finance manager with the roll out of the reporting framework, structure and requirements needed for any new business joining the group.Maintain and enhance financial control – Maintaining financial control across the group, proactive in acting on areas of weakness to reduce group risk and enhance financial control.Any Ad hoc reporting or group support requiredPartner with MD when neededThe person specificationQualified Accountant with strong management accounting and reporting skills.Collaborative – Works as part of a team to ensure the objectives of the finance team are achieved.
