On Monday 31st January 2022, the Government announced that it is reconsidering the legislation requiring vaccination to be a condition of deployment. Any decision to no longer make the COVID-19 vaccination a legal requirement for certain NHS staff, is subject to parliamentary process. This means, there will now be a period of further consultation following which MPs will vote on whether to reverse the current legislation.
This potential change to government policy means that the Trust has paused activity relating to this and will not be asking you to provide evidence of a vaccination at this time. If you are successfully appointed into a post we will keep you updated with how any changes in law will affect you.
