Job Description
In this role, you have the opportunity to use your engineering expertise to model, design and implement some of the world’s most innovative medical products.
You will be playing an instrumental role in further shaping Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and PCB Assembly (PCBA) technology within Philips and strengthen its value proposition in all its aspects within Philips globally.
As a PCBA Layout Engineer you will use your technical knowledge of both electronic design engineering and PCBA layout technology along with proactive design and problem-solving capabilities to connect to the engineering teams at various Philips innovation centers.
You are responsible for
Migration of legacy and designing new PCBAs to the Mentor Graphics Xpedition Enterprise platform
Creation of the full electronic design package (schematic, layout, TPD, …) for the board suppliers
Ensure data integrity of schematic diagram and board layout files
Cooperation with circuit (functional) designers and mechanical designers regarding electrical design and physical constraints, organize design review meetings
Align with the CAD-E library engineers on the availability of elements
Good communication with design engineers and customers
Follow development procedures, design guidelines and standards to ensure reliable product quality
Implementation of signal/power-integrity requirements, safety compliance requirements and generic and/or specific industry requirements
You are a part of Philips Innovation Services is a corporate group within Philips HealthTech, consisting of approximately 1000 passionate professionals in the field of Consulting, Engineering and other innovation services.
Your group Electronic Design Services (EDS) is a part of the Reliability Solutions department and consists of a team of 55+ highly skilled technical professionals in the field of Electronic Design.
The EDS group plays an instrumental role in establishing and leading a Philips-wide, global, Electronic Design Platform (schematics, PBCA design & technology), as well as global e-Component Management and Prototyping Services for both external customers as well as internal Philips businesses, located across the world.
The EDS group is located in Eindhoven Netherlands, Cambridge US, and Bangalore and Pune in India.
You will be located in Pune and report functionally to the EDS group leader in India.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
BE/B.Tech degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
10 years of experience with PCBA physical design (define design constraints, placement, routing, panel design, create technical product documentation)
5 years of experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition Enterprise is a must have
Experience with Valor NPI, CAM350 or similar is preferred
Experience with Mentor EDM is preferred
Solid knowledge on electronic / electro-mechanical components
Knowledge on regulations and standards like ROHS, REACH, IPC
A strong team player with good communication skills
Fluent in English, verbal and written
Excellent communication skills
Pro-active, can-do attitude, team player
Decisive and entrepreneurial attitude
