Job Description : The Team:
The Performance Engineering Team which consists of both Performance Test Engineers and Application Performance Engineers who are responsible for ensuring and maximizing the performance of digital.ai products. Some of the team’s responsibilities include:
Establishing performance guidelines and benchmarks for the application.
Continuously asserting the performance and scalability of the application against established benchmarks.
Working closely with the development team, participating in design discussions and making sure performance guidelines are followed.
Identifying performance issues early in the release cycle and coming up with solutions/suggestions as well.
Running different types of performance tests to measure both the application and hardware deployment capacity and coming up with scalable deployment solutions.
Responsibilities:
Working with the cross-functional team, analyze/profile the application for performance and scalability bottlenecks.
Analyze customer usage patterns and identify potential bottlenecks in the installation, configuration, or in the application itself.
Explore and identify scalability options for various sized customers.
Work with customers on their performance and scalability issues (onsite/offsite).
Contribute to creating baselines, benchmarks, and best practices for the performance engineering team. Not only providing the test results but should drill down and provide more details from the logs and code to the developers.
Desired Profile / Skill Set:
Expert in performance engineering techniques and processes
Expert in carrying out the E2E performance testing, from identifying the requirements, building workload models, scenario, scripting, results analysis, reporting, and presentation.
Expertise in server-side and client-side performance testing tools and framework, preferably JMeter/Locust/Gatling, and experience in HTTP Watch, Fiddler, and Chrome Dev tools Lighthouse, Pagespeed Insights, WebPageTest, etc
Experience in implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment methodology for performance engineering.
Performance tuning experience with Web and Application Servers in Windows and LINUX environment
Strong command on protocols HTML/HTTP, TCP/IP, COM/DCOM, SOAP, REST
Database (PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB/Oracle) knowledge is required, SQL tuning
Proficient in any java profiling tools JProfiler, Dynatrace, your kit
Experience in using any APM tools is preferred – NewRelic, app dynamics, etc.
Experience of metrics monitoring like Grafana, InfluxDB, Prometheus, ELK
Expertise in Heap and Thread dump analysis is required JMAP, TDA
Should be good in communication both verbal and written.
Real user monitoring, log analysis tools Splunk, log stash
Experience with java, .Net framework PE experience is desirable
Experience in cloud computing preferably AWS/Azure
Experience to DevOps, CI/CD culture.
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes and container management
Experience in performance tuning and recommendations
Experience in any cloud solution AWS, Azure, GCP
Should be self-motivated, independent, detail oriented and a team player
