The TraceTogether / SafeEntry App teams are looking for a Senior Product Manager. Singapore is moving into an endemic phase that remains prepared should virus mutations bring new infection waves. You’ll get to shape how the TraceTogether / SafeEntry apps evolves to meet the situation’s needs, to protect our community and the people who visit Singapore.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, and a mind for product strategy. This role is suitable for strong independent contributors with interest in managing the development team of designers, developers and quality engineers.
This role sits in the Government Digital Services division in GovTech.
What you will be working on
As a Senior Product Manager, your responsibilities will be to:
Work closely with the Product Owner, especially with respect to product backlog refining, vendor management, and internal stakeholder management.
Understand and communicate the requirements to the product team, work with them to come up with an appropriate solution that meets the needs of the users and stakeholders.
Work with and manage the development team to identify and manage scope, constraints, dependencies, and risk.
Help assign and oversee the daily tasks to the team while ensuring everyone are actively working towards established milestones.
Work with teams to alleviate project bottlenecks. Identify resources needed and work closely with team leaders to maintain full visibility of the project schedule and potential roadblocks.
Coordinate communication between internal and external teams.
Recognise when further information is required and work to provide it.
Evaluate and recommend agile software engineering practices to the team that would improve the velocity of the development team that is sustainable.
What we are looking for
More than 5 years of working experience as a product manager in an agile environment or consumer product development, preferably with experience in managing mobile applications.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to gather requirements and present the solutions back to senior management stakeholders.
Comfortable with continuous integration and familiar with Agile software development methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
A passion for user-centred design, an eye for detail, and a mind for product strategy.
Comfortable in building, coordinating, and maintaining schedules across multiple teams, managing shared resources.
Initiative to make things happen. You should be comfortable pushing for well-considered change in government and not wait for instruction.
The desire to serve the public through the use of technology.
