Job Description : We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager in our highly collaborative Wollongong office to work across a broad range of projects including two exciting areas of growth – Education and Defence.
APP is an integrated property and infrastructure consultancy offering services across all phases of the capital investment lifecycle – Strategy, Definition, Delivery and Transition.

Your role will be to lead your team providing end-to-end ‘client side’ project management duties including, design development and management, client/stakeholder engagement and communications. Responsibilities will also include managing consultants and contractors, contract management and reporting, risk management and ensuring quality and seamless service to the client throughout each stage of the lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Run profitable and effective projects
Accountability for designated performance, cost and scheduling of multiple projects
Responsible for monthly cost/revenue targets
Oversee all phases of project management including design, construction, occupancy, quality control, staffing & budget management
Exceed clients’ requirements; Contributes to commercial negotiations
Contribute effectively in bid processes and presentations
Responsible for dispute resolutions e.g. claims
Look to sell other APP services to existing client accounts

Alongside technical management expertise our Senior Project Managers will continue to evolve strong leadership qualities to develop in our growing organisation. You will contribute to the vision and strategy, identify and analyse business risks, build and lead a high performing team – identifying, developing and coaching talent, sell the business and create new business opportunities and win work while developing your professional networks.
To be suitable for this role:
Tertiary Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Surveying, Building, Planning, Project Management or Construction Management (or similar qualifications) or relevant industry experience
Typically a minimum of 6-10 years plus relevant experience in project management with exposure to government projects and or education projects and/or a background in public sector engagements highly desirable
Chartered member or fellow of relevant institution (e.g. AIPM, CIOB, APM, PMI etc.) looked upon favorably
