The team ensures a high-performance data ingestion system, a core component of Corsearch’s flagship brand protection product, is able to respond to website changes by updating configuration and writing custom code to overcome anti-scraping obstacles. This makes the Physician team a key team in being able to discover and remove Intellectual Property abuse online, protecting consumers from harmful products and brands from lost sales.What will you do?Develop software components to deliver value to stakeholders, namely code-based scrapers and modifications to scraping systemsWork with team to deliver outcomes through software developmentIdentify, create and apply software development and security standards and processesEstimate time and effort required for software developmentConstruct, amending and verifying software componentsApply test-driven development and ensuring appropriate test coverageUse peer review techniques — such as pair programmingDocument software componentsUnderstand and obtain agreement to the value of the software components to be developedApply recovery techniques to ensure the software being developed is not lostImplement appropriate change control to software development practicesUse design concepts and patterns to develop software design and provide the basis for software construction and verificationAdopt and adapt software design models, tools and techniques based on the context of the work.Resolve operational problems with software and fix bugsSupervise and train junior colleaguesRequirementsWhat do we ask of you?Bachelor of Computer Science (BSc), Engineering, or equivalent qualificationGood knowledge of modern web application development including RESTful web services, web applications, databases, and operating systems;In depth experience of the software development lifecycle and code repositories such as git, including branching and merging flows;Python, Django, javascript, HTTP, MySQL, REGEXTCP/IP network protocols, browser tools and traffic inspectionLinux toolchain*What do you do next?*If this sounds interesting, click apply for this position and introduce yourself!
