You will work with the wider engineering team to bring solutions to challenges that require cross squad collaboration. As a member of the squad you will also have deep understanding of the product and industry you are building for. You will also have the opportunity to be a teacher for less experienced engineers.Main Duties and Responsibilities: Collaboratively develop the features and engineering capabilities for the products your squad own. We aim to employ automation for everythingCollaborate in all stages of development from requirement discussions with the Product Owner to the deployment of the feature in the cloudJoin the on-call rota to support the highly available products developed by the squadProvide your squad with the tools to enable data driven decision makingSupporting and mentoring more junior engineers within the squadCollaborate with your fellow engineers from other squads to make decisions around technologies, patterns and approaches to adoptWhat you bring: Experience using design and implementation best practices for the development of web applications that are user friendly and easy to maintain.Experience building web applications with Angular, React, Typescript and Node.Experience with browser testing tools like browser-stack.Experience with Test Driven DevelopmentAn engineering skillset that is focused on quality and a test first philosophy, regardless of the activityAn agile mindset where you will drive both your squad and the wider tribe towards better ways of workingAn inquisitive personality that is always looking for constant improvement opportunityAdded bonus if you have: Experience with Docker and AWSExperience setting up CI/CD pipelines.Experience with Redux, Scully, Cypress or Nest.jsExperience with full stack developmentExposure to the Payments industry domain (especially Cards and other payment schemes)Exposure to PCI-DSSWhat we offer youAttractive benefits including private medical cover, dental cover, and travel insuranceThe chance to work on some of the most challenging, relevant issues in financial services & technologyA work environment built on collaboration, flexibility and respectA multifaceted job with a high degree of responsibility and a broad spectrum of opportunitiesJob Type: Full-timePay: £85,000.00-£110,000.00 per yearBenefits:Flexible scheduleSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftEducation:Bachelor’s (preferred)Experience:Software development: 5 years (preferred)
