Job Description:
Summary of Job:
The candidate will work in the Android environment to apply Google security patches to our custom Android implementation. The process involves applying security patches for Android 12, backporting Android 10 security patches for Android 9, submitting for Google GMS Certification, and generating OS delta updates to OTA to customer devices. The position will require interfacing with engineers in several locations including US, China, India (PB Vendor), and Singapore (PB Vendor) to accomplish these tasks.

Technical Requirements
Android OS development experience (3-5 years)
Java, C, C++ Development Experience
Experience working with Android Linux Kernel
Android Framework, SDK experience
Knowledge of GMS Certification – GTS, VTS, CTS Scans
Scripting (shell, python)
Experience with Git, Jira
Expertise with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, TLS, DNS)
USB communications knowledge
AWS experience
Non-Technical Requirements
Experience developing in an Agile team environment
Strong problem solving, analytical skills
Self-starter with strong motivation
Collaborative in the team environment
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Must have some overlap with US time
