Job Description : JOIN OUR TEAM!
EQS Group is passionate about shipping reliable, resilient, highly available and performant software. We accomplish this by empowering engineers to take decisions and providing tools to make it easy.
When a client logs into our platform, they are seeing an Angular PWA written with strict TypeScript and RxJS, composed in a micro-frontend architecture using our Storybook component library. Our frontends get their data from REST and GraphQL APIs written in NodeJS, PHP, Go, and Java (and sometimes even a little Perl). These APIs are Continuously Deployed in a Kubernetes cluster on AWS/EKS as a part of our (micro)services architecture. They use RabbitMQ and gRPC to communicate between themselves.
Our data is usually stored in Amazon AuroraDB, but we also use Neo4j, MySQL, ElasticSearch and Redis. We have a heterogeneous technology landscape at EQS Group and we give our engineers the ability to choose the best technology for their use case. In order to do this, we focus on testing, resiliency, reliability, high availability, observability and security when building our services.
We use practices like Load Testing, Penetration Testing, Performance Testing to ensure our services are up to our standards. We use technologies like ELK, NewRelic and OpsGenie to make sure that if we missed something, we spot it before our clients.
Your responsibilities
You will play a crucial role in reinforcing our Frontend Team with knowledge and experience. You will work in Risk Manager team and develop from scratch a completely new application for our growing product, the Corporate Compliance Cockpit (CC Cockpit). The Risk Manager provides the ability to effectively manage risks in your organization to compliance managers and officers. It is embedded into the CC Cockpit – a full featured corporate compliance solution with several other applications and services composed together as micro frontends with Angular.
Your main task will be to translate business requirements into a high-quality, finely styled, working product in fast iterations with your fellow team members. You will contribute to the Component Library maintained by the Frontend Community of Practice. You are expected to uphold and champion best practices like continuous learning, code maintainability, continuous improvement, testing and continuous integration. You will mentor our more junior developers, or experienced ones contributing to the Frontend code for the first time. Communicating and collaborating with international stakeholders and peer engineers is also part of your job.
