SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced engineer for our solutions team, who can quickly learn how to use our SDK (Software Development Kit), our hardware products, our systems, and support our customers and solution vendors, to (a) come up with new solution ideas, (b) evaluate solution ideas, (c) quickly prototype solution ideas, and (d) suggest new software/hardware features to the core engineering teams accordingly.
This is key to engage customers who are not served well with our current products, or solution vendors who have good business ideas or products that we can partner with.
This is a novel role and combines aspects of FAE (Field Application Engineer), Application Engineer, Customer Engineer and Software/Hardware/Platform engineer. It involves close collaboration and coordination with other Blaize groups including Architecture, Application and Customer Engineering, and core engineering .
This role requires external facing interaction as well. Superb communication skills are key to this role.
Overall, this role has a high exposure both within the company and outside it.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand Blaize offerings well, i.e., Software, Hardware and Platform.
Manage technological interface with customers and solution vendors.
Customer interaction on simple engineering matters to deep technological matters.
Suggest new technological solutions to problems.
Evaluate technological solutions for their feasibility, and their alignment to company goals, and report.
Build prototypes for solutions.
Document the findings of the prototype building process.
Collaborate with other teams for dependencies.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience is required.
5 years’ experience in technology industry in a design or technological customer support role is required.
Minimum 1-year development experience in Python is required. More than that is a plus.
Minimum 5-year development experience in any of following programming languages is required: C++, Python, and Java. More than one is a plus.
Being excellent in at least one of the following engineering domains is required: software, hardware, and system. More than one is a plus.
Good understanding of at least one of the following domains is required: Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Hardware Acceleration. More than one is a plus.
Experience with virtualization, container technologies and solutions utilizing Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
Experience with public clouds (Azure, AWS, etc.) is a plus.
Mathematical or Data Science background is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills is necessary.
Strong written and verbal communication skills is necessary.
Being a team player is necessary as it requires working with people from multiple other teams.
Being self-motivated, self-driven and able to work independently is necessary.
