Job Description
The Palo Alto Networks TechDocs team directly helps our customers improve their security posture to best protect against cyber threats. As a part of the R&D organization, we work hands-on with products and serve as the voice of our users and to identify best practice workflows.
You’ll collaborate with product management, engineering, UX, and QA teams as you write content that helps users understand the risks their organizations face, and how to secure their employees no matter where they are.
This role is focused on the Prisma Access Cloud Management product. The team works in an agile development cycle, following a docs as code methodology. In-product content is going to play a big role in making this growing product intuitive, and experience or interest in these areas would be great:
UX content
Information architecture
Context-sensitive help
Plain language
Diverse content mediums like videos and walkthroughs
Localization

Qualifications
Your Experience:
We’re looking for a seasoned technical writer with a proven track record of writing content that simplifies the user experience.
Experience with security technologies, threat prevention, or SaaS security is a bonus. It’s also great if you have experience with the tools that we use to get our work done, including:
Source control tools (Perforce, Git)
Topic-based authoring tools (DITA or XML authoring, Oxygen)
Video tutorial creation tools (Camtasia)
Team collaboration and release tracking tools (Confluence and Jira)
Digital Adoption Platforms (Pendo)
We’d love to see writing samples, especially concepts and tasks written from scratch or videos you’ve created.
Education: BA/BS or equivalent experience required
