Designs, develops, tests, and debugs software applications used by endusers or integrated with other applications by ISV partners. Development may span the full application stack including both frontend and backend application development. Uses modern software development methodologies and programming languages, follows secure coding practices and software legal compliance guidelines, analyzes user stories, writes both functional and test code, automates build and deployment, and performs unit integration and endtoend testing of applications. Completes SDL tasks with the assistance of product security engineers and provides input to technical writers to complete product documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May also interact with end users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
Qualifications
Technical Skills Needed 1. Strong Programming skills especially in Python – including OOPS concepts and Bash scripting. 2. CI /CD familiarity with knowledge of git for development activities. 3. Configuration Management, preferably in Ansible. 4. Well versed with methodologies like: Agile, Scrum, DevOps and test-driven development. 5. Exposure to monitoring tools like ELK and New Relic. 6. Familiarity with Linux Systems Administration 7. Familiarity with file systems, RAID levels, networking, scheduling cronjobs, Permissions etc. 8. Routine system management and administration tools like top, strace, awk, sed, scripting etc. 9. Technical troubleshooting skills for both system performance and network connectivity issues. 10. Container technologies like Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes 11. Exposure to performance and load testing techniques will be an added advantage 12. Exposure to Methodics IPLM will be an added advantage. 13. Knowledge of Perforce Administration in terms of setting up depots, permissions, triggers, replicas etc. will be an added advantage.
