Description:

Software Development Engineer with AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) Experience

The SDE / AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) instance, which consists of three environments (production, stage, development), all hosted by Adobe Managed Services. The system has multiple internal stakeholders, each with its own set of projects, users, developers, and requirements. Key responsibilities include:
Develop, code, test & debug OSGI bundles, AEM templates, HTL/Sightly components and services, workflows, DAM, Sling distribution, localization features to customize workflows and API calls from AEM to EG databases for specific needs for multi-site and multi-channel delivery
Coordinate with AMS & internal teams in deploying applications to Dev, Stage, and Production environments
Actively manage emergent requirements to support an ever-changing Platform
Configure Apache (AEM Dispatcher) configurations (rewrite rules, vhost files, etc.) as applicable
Hands-on experience in working with content services and excellent understanding of headful/headless/hybrid implementations of AEM
Diagnose and solve technical problems related to AEM
Interact with clients to create end-to-end specifications for content & collaboration solutions
Interpret and translate business needs to technical requirements with accurate estimates
Coordination with content creators and development teams within the company
Ensure sound practices regarding site architecture, performance and reliability, and content delivery are in place

Required qualifications & experience:
4+ years of professional software development experience
3+ years of programming experience in Java and object-oriented design principles with cloud-based distributed architecture
Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Excellent understanding & hands-on experience of RESTful services
Experience in communicating with non-tech teams and tech teams to collect requirements
Strong sense of ownership
Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution
Strong and innovative approach to problem-solving and finding solutions
Ability to write scripts on the fly in & outside AEM to migrate content from one system to the other

Bonus qualifications & experience:
1+ year experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) content management system in a large technology company setting
Demonstrable knowledge of AEM system architecture
Familiarity with end-to-end, decoupled, and headless publishing models
Experience with content management systems hosting multiple concurrent stakeholders, publishing to custom endpoints, with custom localization processes
Go-live readiness and release management to the new system, coordination with Adobe Managed Services, and Launch Foundation Service
Ability to communicate technical and business strategy successfully to audiences of varying levels of experience, background, and seniority.
Experience developing JEE web applications, Apache Sling, Sightly, Apache Oak and Dispatcher, WCM/DAM, JCR suite, Apache Felix OSGi framework, Workflows in AEM 6.5
Experience in AEM component development, schedulers, Metadata & Tag Management, integrating AEM with other applications.
Deep understanding of Content ecosystem components like CMS, DAM, DRM, Personalization engines, Taxonomy/Metadata Management, Workflow tools, etc.
Should have a good understanding of AEM Sites / AEM Assets infrastructure, architecture, and configuration/administration
AEM Certified Expert in Developer/Architecture/DevOps skills
Experience with Amazon Web Services (i.e. EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Lambda, CloudFormation), or developing in other public Clouds
Scripting skills in Groovy/Ruby/Shell and/or Sling pipes
Experience developing and deploying code across distributed clusters etc.
Strong knowledge and experience with web technology stacks
Understanding of server-side web development using Java
Experience developing efficient and reliable server-side JavaScript.
Experience in developing automated test suites
