Becoming a Software Developer with us
We are currently seeking an experienced software Developer with Agile/sScrum experience and expertise in Java and JavaScript, to design and develop software products from concept to customer delivery. In this role you will take full ownership in implementing work packets across a range of applications using industry standard methodologies and tools.
Working within small to medium- sized teams to design and implement software features on enterprise scale software solutions, someone in this role will collaborate will work closely with internal stakeholders including and managing expectations with Senior and Principal software Engineers, test teams, and support and maintenance teams.
The role will contribute towards Continual Service Improvement by pro-actively identifying areas of process and tooling that can be improved.
What you will do:
Code software solutions against a documented design.Functional design phase of new software components Liaise; Liaising with Internal stakeholders, interpreting requirements and documenting technical designs in line with process.Ability to assess the impact of possible solutions on a wider applications codebase.Working in a team to implement development work packets.Writing software solutions against a documented design.Using provided tools to understand interpret and execute work packets.Deliver, track and report on progress against defined and agreed milestones using the available tools.Ensure the documented development processes are followed and adhered to.
Your experience will includeWorking with enterprise scale software solutions products in a fast-paced environmentAgile/scrum experienceDemonstrable experience in Programming languages such as Java and JavaScriptWeb Toolkits such as ReactJS, Backbone Marionette (ideal) – mark-up languages such as HTML, XML, XSLTDatabase skills in SQL Server or Oracle and Version Control Tools such as SVN or GITUse of an agile project management tool such as Competent user of JiraCSS language, UI/UX skills
You will be able to show:Evidence of effective planning of a team- wide workload utilising Agile methodology for prioritisation and schedulingEvidence of a robust approach to problem solving and investigation with the ability to manage and track escalations and exceptions to core work streamsEvidence of excellent communication skills with stakeholders (in both written and verbal communication)Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of workloadA Flexible and responsible work ethicAbility to thrive in a in order to achieve objectives and comfortable working in a team environment
