Job Description : This is an exciting opportunity for a software developer to develop a long-term career with this fast moving and expanding UK business.
The business is going through a major IT transformation and are actively recruiting for an experienced Software Developer to help maintain applications and the development of projects. As a Developer, your duties will be to build software by writing code, modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, and improve its performance or interfaces. You will also be involved in unit/system testing and validation procedures, and also working with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
As a Developer, you will also be involved in the following aspects:-
Develop, test and implement new software programs
Write and design coding flow charts and models
Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
Design and update software, including, but not limited to: Software Applications, Web development, Data Communication Processes, User Interfaces
Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization
Independently install, customize and integrate commercial software packages
Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues
Compile timely, comprehensive and accurate documentation and or reports as requested
Possess up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry
Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers
Possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills while using good judgment
Multi-task and change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
To be succeed as a Developer, you will demonstrate:
Demonstrable experience of software development life cycles including Waterfall, Agile
Ability to develop unit testing of code components or complete applications.
Must be a full-stack developer and understand concepts of software engineering.
Experience working on a variety of software development projects.
Deep programming language knowledge in a range of languages including.Net
Demonstrable experience of coding standards, code libraries, code repositories, re-platforming, development standards, producing documentation, code quality assurance
