Job Description : I’m looking for a software developer for an exciting client of mine in London, paying around £45-50k with hybrid working. Please see full details below and feel free to submit your CV if you’re interested.This is a technically focussed role, working closely with both the business and the IT teams to support the ongoing improvement of business processes and applications across the business, while supplementing the IT team’s capacity to support and maintain a software application environment that continues to grow both in scale and complexity. Business facing and IT technical skills are required in equal measure.This is a critical role to assuring the continued smooth operation of the companies IT systems, To perform monitoring, developing and housekeeping tasks on IT systems in line with business processes such as (but not limited to) ‘New Business Intake, File closure, staff on boarding’, ‘integrations’ and reports.Software planning, installing, scheduling upgrades and maintenance, to make sure project objectives are met, develop and implement systems integrations, reports and procedures, ensuring all systems integrations and procedures are fully documented and up to datePrincipal system responsibilities: All core applications systems management such as (but not limited to) Elite 3E (PMS), Work 10 (DMS), Interaction (CRM) and IntapptimeK2 development and workflow process design and development including integrations (Intapp integrate) and reports design and developmentChange and release management of applications, systems upgrades and reportsPrincipal duties: Provide additional support, troubleshooting as required to assist the Operations team during periods of high demand, team absence or called upon by the IT Service Desk or wider IT teamData analysis; investigate, troubleshoot and identify ‘root cause’ for data processing issues across the various applications systemsDatabase management and development of process and data integrations using the firm’s integration builder platform and SQL. Including Data modelling; design databases, data relationships, normalisation etc. to support solution designsMaintain an effective software development, testing and training environment to support the effective delivery of new IT application systems to the businessMS SQL & MySQL databases, services and maintenance, writing applications to interface with SQL databases and develop reports via SQL SSRS or via application specific reporting tools including the utilisation of API’s, in response to ad-hoc requests or new business requirements /specificationsOwnership, analysis, problem solving and escalation of all application/systems issues to third party support desks as requiredDevelop and maintain documentation describing ‘as is’ business processes and systems whilst gather/analyse new system/process requirements and develop all supporting specification documentsContribute to system / service / supplier selection activities and assist with drafting business case documentsEnsure process and system requirements are understood and accurately represented in all supporting documentsDraw up test scripts and carry out acceptance testing for enhancements and change requestsContribute to training content development activities during systems projects / initiatives, supporting the IT Training function to understand and interpret business and system processesSkills/experience desiredGood understanding and experience of RESTful service, cloud native API’s using frameworks such as iManage work 10, 3E and M365 etc. Knowledge of at least one the more common programming/scripting languages would be advantageous, e.g. C#, Python or JavaScript.Proficient in azure and M365 PowerShell scripting, Active Directory, Windows Server 12, 16 and 19Hands-on experience with a strong background in dealing with database design, analysis and development of Microsoft T-SQL, MySQL, SSRS, Data Warehouses and ETLElite 3E IDE and OQL, EDG Design Gallery desirableTechnical writing, presentation and communication. Including ability to produce technical documentation to support the delivery of new systems and/or servicesExperience producing use case descriptions / models / user interface / wireframe specifications and designing UAT scriptsAdequate knowledge of web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocolsKnowledge of core legal sector specific applications are desirable; CRM, PMS, DMSKnowledge of ITIL to Foundation level is desirable.
