SSIS/Managed File Transfer Application Developer
JOB SUMMARY :
Polaris Industries is seeking a ETL developer skilled in SSIS and familiar with other data movement technologies to work in our dedicated Data Propagation team in Bangalore. A candidate will have skills in the development and documentation of solutions to extract, transform, and load data. They will develop queries, SSIS packages and jobs to securely transfer files. They will be tasked with developing processes using SSIS, Visual Studio, SQL and GoAnywhere to implement logical and physical dataflow models according to functional requirements and mapping designs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Systems Design and Application Development (70%)
Understands the business requirements to identify source data systems and elements
Map source system data to target data models
Develop data movement processes and code (using data movement tools, database stored procedures etc.)
Define and capture of metadata and rules associated to the data movement workflow
Understands the common data movement architectures (e.g. ETL, FTP) and when/how each should be used
Supports and troubleshoots data movement, performance and related issues
System Support (20%)
Provides subject matter expertise and partners with the IS Helpdesk to provide day-to-day application support to service providers and requesters
Troubleshoots production problems and works to fix issues
Identifies and implements solutions to issues that are related to production level code
Communications (10%)
Work with Systems Analyst on functional requirements, development and implementation plans
Communicate status and challenges to Project Managers and Management team
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
5+ years’ experience in Information Technology
2+ years as a data movement developer using Microsoft SSIS
Proficiency with Microsoft Software (Visual Studio, .NET)
Experience in enterprise integration using APIs
Understands translating business requirements into data movement requirements
Proficiency developing SQL queries, and using SQL Server
Experience building SQL stored procedures
Experience with relational and multidimensional databases
Knowledge of no SQL databases (e.g. Document DB) is desired but not required
Experience with GoAnywhere is especially desired but not required. Any experience with Managed File Transfer tools is an advantage.
Technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation required
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience with hybrid (cloud/on premises) integration architecture patterns is highly desirable. Microsoft Azure is our preferred cloud provider.
