You as Software development engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business-based Chennai, you will be responsible in ensuring that our SW solutions have a high quality, integrate with the software ecosystem of our company, and can be taken over by product management with ease.
Your responsibilities
Development: Develop software modules of Highest Quality, following security development life cycle
Involving in the Code review
Testing: Bench Testing / Unit testing the modules developed
Agile Process: Familiar with Agile Development Processes or similar
Maintenance bug fixes: Should understand the code, bug reports, or Change request from customer to fix it for maintenance software release
Creating POCs (Proof of concept)
Maintain user accounts in the existing systems
Troubleshoot software issues with users
Identify technical problems, including hardware, network, configuration issues and escalate properly
Identify critical system issues and engage responsible team members
Follow-up and provide prompt feedback to the users
Support maintaining and configuring of the system infrastructure (servers)
Interaction: Engaged with end user/product team to develop requirement specifications
Engaged with external software development vendor
Your background
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering in Computer Science / Information technology / Electronics and communication
4-6 years of Software development experience with C# & .Net Framework, .Net (Core)
Hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, and Mobile environments
Sound knowledge in C# and .Net Framework, .Net (Core),Microservices,Azure cloud environment,Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
Strong understanding of Configuration Management and version control tools such as TFS, git
Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
Basic knowledge of System Administration, networks, and infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls), configuration and troubleshooting
Knowledge in Angular JS, Angular/React,JavaScript, NodeJS, Python,Databases – Postgres
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Proficiency in English, speaking and writing
