Job Description : SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER for Viva BooksThe successful candidate will be essential to recruiting and developing a software development team in New Delhi to work on existing software projects but also take on new ones, covering web and mobile applications.Reporting to the Management on the upcoming software roadmap to understand the current and future demands of the software development team.The current software runs using JQuery, Code Igniter and MySQL DB using Plesk and WHM. There will be new requirements for IOS and Android mobile applications along with managing legacy apps. It is essential the successful candidate has demonstrable experience working with Angular and CI / Laravel frameworks.This is a senior level position within this growing business and will be integral to the growth of the business going forward. We are looking for the successful candidate to have a wealth of experience in software development and are now looking to transition into a senior role of managing software development teams across a wide variety of frameworks and languages to deliver best-in-class solutions for our business.You will be responsible for the design and implementation of applications’ build, release, deployment, and configuration activities. Other responsibilities include working with internal business partners to gather requirements, prototyping, architecting, implementing/updating solutions, building and executing test plans, performing quality reviews, managing operations, and triaging and fixing operational issues.You will ideally be a senior developer looking for their next move or an existing head of software development who is looking for a new challenge within an exciting and dynamic business. Experience in recruiting new team members is preferred, as the successful candidate will be managing and growing the software development team.Qualifications: -· B.Sc. or B.A.Sc. degree in Computer Science or Engineering· Minimum years experience working in Software Development and DevOps· Broad understanding of networking· Experience with frontend frameworks· Experience with backend technologies, specifically CI3, CI4 and Laravel PHP· Experience in APIs, REST APIs, Internal and External· Must be Hands-on· Knowledge of Mantis, GitHub, AWS, Hostgator, CI/CD, DevOps is preferred· Knowledge of mobile app development languages (e.g. Swift, Java, Kotlin) is preferred· Knowledge of Grafana, Jenkins and Docker is preferred.Skills: -· Responsible for understanding project requirements, and develop the application modules to meet the requirements as provided in the specification· Some experience of leading a team and show leadership skills· Responsible for implementing and following standards and guidelines with best practice· Excellent communication skills to ensure deadlines are met· Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment· Strong analytical and creative problem solving· Highly skilled all-round developer (full stack).Salary: Between Rs. 1,200,000 to Rs. 1,500,000 CTC per annumApplication Deadline: 15/2/2022Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: ₹1,200,000.00 – ₹1,500,000.00 per yearAbout the company: Viva Books is an independent publisher of quality educational books with nation-wide presence and a sales network covering the whole of South Asia.
